Emma brings nearly three decades of finance experience, combining chartered certified accountancy expertise with senior educational leadership.
Hi, I'm Emma.
I've spent nearly 30 years working in finance, including more than 25 years as a Chartered Certified Accountant and over 20 years running my own accountancy business.
Over the years, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of organisations, but my work in education has become a particular passion. I now work at senior finance level across trusts and specialist education settings, helping leaders navigate financial challenges, make informed decisions and build sustainable organisations.
I set up Black Cat EduFinance because I wanted to bring that experience to schools and businesses in a way that feels personal, practical and genuinely useful. I don't believe finance should be intimidating or full of jargon — it should help you understand where you are, where you want to go, and how to get there.
I'm based in Cornwall, but work with organisations across the South West and beyond. I'd love to hear about what you're working towards and see how I can help.
